By definition the word Celestial means heavenly or other worldly.  Celestial, is the word that best describes Prince JAMIR’s sound.

He made his recording debut in 2009 with the critically acclaimed Independent R&B album Prince JAMIR s “My Offering” which featured the classic ballad “Soldier, Club Single  “You Already Know”.  The “My Offering” album also had many songs that connected with his female fan base such as ”Keep Your Head Up”. The  lyrics touches lightly on the single mother story  and the young man who grew up in a broken home archetypes and everything in between as JAMIR Offers Inspiration to Keep Your Head Up. Other songs on My Offering such as ”  Gotta Getaway” and “Rhythm of Love” all written by the songwriter hinted that this was an artist who has something to say in a way that people were beginning to relate.

As a writer, he set out to write timeless songs and  do as many projects as possible. In 2009, he was dubbed The Prince Of Hip Hop Soul” by DJ Red Alert and Africa Bambaattaa Legends in the Hip Hop Culture. After My Offering” he gave his fans Two classic Hip Hop Soul Mix tapes:
Prince JAMIRVerse DJ Premiere Hosted by DJ Red Alert Feat Africa Bambaattaa (2009) and Who Is Prince Jamir  (2010) Hosted by Sypnfo. This was a homage project of JAMIR singing over Golden Era 90′s “Premo tracks concept by Nathan Laskar.  The greatness in this mixtape was in two key elements it was very cost effective and was a creative idea ahead of it’s time. Nathan Laskar and Prince JAMIR decided to just plug up a microphone to Laskars computer, while JAMIR free styled over premo classic productions as simple as that in a  mash- up and with the internet was quickly disseminated vi rally to his fans. The idea also embodies who  JAMIR is an an artist one who pays homage to the greats who paved the way  before him and getting dubbed from Hip Hop Royalty was a by product of the respect the mix-tape received.

His last mix tape Who Is Prince Jamir Mix tape (2010) Hosted by DJ Spynfo Hot 97 was another fan favorite, this was a teaser of what Jamir would sound like over current Billboard charted radio HITS  as made popular by other artist in the urban music genre. Birthing “In Your Arms Brooklyn Love Anthem” over Biggies Juicy and the deeply sensual Tonight’s The Night from Drakes “Lust For Life.

The Brooklyn bred singer, born on October 25th developed his voice and ear for music since the age of 2,  he wrote songs and had outlets early on singing  Gospel in church.  In middle school through high school,  he honed his craft  as a young artist who was also involved in Sports and Arts programs which kept him busy and focused away from the pull of the streets.  As a singer he is largely influenced by  singers with signature such as Whitney Houston, Anita Baker, Micheal Jackson, ReoSpeedWagon, Air Supply, and Stevie Wonder and today’s artist such R&B artist Like Joe, Usher and Beyonce, who’s signatures are original.

Prince JAMIR is an independent artist who understands the business. From forming the imprint CAMG- Celestial Arts Music Group LLC and his his songwriting publishing company Miches Melodies ASCAP which he is a proud member. He’s performs and books Top Tier venues in the Tri-State Metropolitan area. Building (CelestialNation) and ( TeamJAMIR) fanbase’s doing a minimum of 4 shows a week in New York City.  As successful Independent artists promote themselves, book their own shows, sell their own CDs, and establish relationships directly with venues and fans. This is the criteria that measures the success of Prince JAMIR as a brand. Selling 15 thousand CDs from his back pack hand to hand and at a shows,  sales of online and mobile app ring-tones and mp3s from itunes. The Brand cross pollinated during College Tour Spring season while JAMIR established a working relationship with T.I.s Akoo Clothing brand. As he performed would also sell Cd’s as well promote the Akoo clothing brand first indie artist to put show love to the line.  Love is the driving force of this artist drive, a love for singing and reaching people with his songs.
